He is the founder of our law firm. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Ankara University in 1979. Between 1979 and 1981, he completed a master’s degree in Civil Law at the same faculty. He served as the treasurer and secretary general of the İzmir Bar Association, where he was elected as a board member in 2002, and held the presidency from 2008 to 2010. During this period, he also served as a delegate for the Turkish Bar Associations Union. Özdemir Sökmen, who was a board member at the Turkish Law Institute for a time, has been practicing as a freelance attorney registered with the İzmir Bar Association since 1983. With over 40 years of professional experience, especially in real estate, construction, lease, and family law, Sökmen speaks German at an intermediate level.
