He is the managing partner of our law firm. He graduated from Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law. He studied at the Faculty of Law at the University of Rouen in France from 2005 to 2006. He worked as an intern at the TÜSİAD European Union Representation based in Brussels and participated in projects on European Union Law. He completed the Master’s Program in EU Relations supervised by the European Public Law Center (EPLC). During the program, he conducted studies on Competition and Energy Law at the European Public Law Center based in Athens. He is fluent in French, English, and German and is a sworn translator in these languages. Currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of European Studies at Dokuz Eylul University, Sökmen is also a registered trademark attorney at the Turkish Patent Institute. In the early years of his profession, Serhat Sökmen worked in prestigious international law firms in Istanbul and gained experience in administrative and tax law by serving as a deputy in administrative roles. Additionally, he provides consultancy to domestic and foreign clients regarding company formations, mergers and acquisitions, and competition law matters.
